While we can't bring you a physical Art Show at a virtual convention, we can bring you the art. Please explore the work of our participating artists on our website or on our Discord server. Also check out their websites and like or follow them on social media.

Some of their work may be for sale on their websites. If you find anything that speaks to you personally, please consider buying it through their websites. Independent artists need our support, especially during the COVID pandemic.

The Crown of Madness

Kevin Hopkins

Kevin Hopkins is the manager of Mind Over Splatter Art Studio which specializes in SF/F cover art, poster art, and comics, as well as many other commercial and fine art forms. Kevin has a BA in Fine Arts with postgraduate additions and has studied under several internationally acclaimed artists. He is an accredited art teacher and has taught high school art and vocational painting classes. He also teaches private classes in painting, drawing, and Photoshop.

Early in his career Kevin worked in western fashion design where he created over 1,000 product lines and a medallion that headed into space on the ill-fated Challenger space shuttle expedition. He was a poster artist for the Oklahoma Air and Space Museum. Later Kevin became associated with Realm Press, a comics publisher, and worked there as artist and art director for their Battlestar Galactica and The Drakkon Wars licensed series. In '90 Kevin became a winner in the international Illustrators of the Future Contest.

Kevin spent several years in Hollywood working for Warner Brothers Studios and was a guest artist of several local conventions including LosCon and San Diego Comic-Con. Kevin was involved in the production and post production of several movie titles including The Matrix, Looney Toons: Back in Action, The Last Samurai, the first four Harry Potter films, and Batman Begins. Kevin's various convention art show awards are too numerous to mention, including multiple Best of Show and People's Choice awards. For spare time hobbies he enjoys writing, sculpting, and being a fossil enthusiast.

Dain Q. Gore

Dain Q. Gore has been a college instructor for over a decade. He received his MFA from ASU in 2009 and has taught at Phoenix College since 2010. Dain has shown his art all over the world, including the 798 District in Beijing, China and Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He also makes and performs with puppets, most often at the Great Arizona Puppet Theater with Tommy Cannon, and lately at Drive-In Puppet Slams. His puppetry is generally sassy.

Both his paintings and puppetry are generally colorful, surreal and narrative in nature, which shows up in his hobbies, too. He's been painting fantasy/sci-fi gaming minis since 1988, and has recently won awards at GenCon and Everchosen.

He also enjoys video and board gaming of all kinds, loves to sing New Wave songs in karaoke, and cooking deluxe ramen.

Mark Greenawalt

I've done a bunch of stuff and some of it came out OK. My favorite color is probably red (not counting chrome). Photoshop is pretty awesome but it's also fun to get messy in the real world sometimes too. For those who do really read bios, sorry for the goofy attempt here, but I'm getting old and there's so many fortunate things that have happened, I can't put it all down in words. To sum it up in one word, I might say dreamer.
