Charity Auction

It is my pleasure to bring to all the members a Charity Auction to benefit the Joshua Tree Feeding Program.
100% of the proceeds are given to this charity.

Joshua Tree Feeding Program

The goal of Joshua Tree Feeding Program is to provide nourishment to low-income HIV+ residents of Maricopa County. They provide balanced meals from their pantry as well as medical and community resources to encourage self-sustainability of their clients in a social, supportive and welcoming environment where privacy, cultural, spiritual and religious values are respected.

Their expanded services also give assistance to their client's pets, and provide food and supplies to keep the pets in low income homes to maintain the comfort and support they provide to those with HIV/AIDS.

In June of 2021 Joshua Tree Feeding Program opened up for the Trans and Gender Expansive Community. This way no one goes home hungry.

How to Bid (and Win!) at the Charity Auction

How to bid (and win!) at the Charity Auction:

  1. The auction will be live and will take place on Discord. It is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 5th, from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm. Click on this invitation link to get to Discord, and you'll see this icon to take you to our convention:
  2. Check out the list of items in advance which has descriptions, pictures and the beginning bid amounts. That list is right here on this web page (scroll down to see it and click on each image to open a larger version) and on our Discord server.
  3. Once you're on the CoKoCon server in Discord, scroll down and look for the Charity Auction 'rooms'. You'll need to register your name if you think you might be interested in bidding. Registering your name saves us time identifying you but doesn't, in any way, obligate you to either attend or bid. Click on 'signup-for-auction' and follow the instructions.
  4. To see the items in Discord, click on 'item-descriptions'. The live auction will also give you a chance to see each item currently being bid on.
  5. When it's time, join the live auction by clicking 'Charity Auction Video'.
  6. Once the auction is concluded, every successful bidder will get a list of their items and the winning bid amounts in an e-mail. Therefore, it is absolutely critical that you ensure you have a correct e-mail address listed when you register for the auction.
  7. Payment will be made through PayPal. A link will be provided In the e-mail; if you don't have a PayPal account, you can just use a credit card. If you really want to use cash, we can do that, too. No checks, please; or cats or first-born children or barter...
  8. The items will be available for local pickup at designated dates, times and locations. We anticipate at least one pickup location in NW Phoenix and one in Mesa; depending on where the bidders live.
  9. If you cannot arrange a local pickup, you can have the items mailed to you via USPS at lowest available rate. You will have to pay for the shipping.
  10. See you at the Auction! Don't forget your money. Bid often, bid high... and have fun!

Note

All books that are presented as a First Edition are done so at the best judgment of our Charity Auction Director. No guarantee is made by Catherine Book, CoKoCon, CASFS or WesternSFA for any item. If you have any questions, please ask via e-mail or inspect the item description and pictures prior to auction.

Your tireless Charity Auction Director,
Catherine Book
